Day-Tripping in Uruguay's Colonia del Sacramento

Tuesday

Just a ferry ride across the Rio de la Plata from Buenos Aires and you're in Uruguay's oldest town, Colonia del Sacramento. Founded by the Portuguese and taken over by the Spanish, its overgrown colorful trees, cobblestone streets, cozy waterfront cafes, and sunset made for the perfect day trip. It's no wonder why the historic center is a World Heritage Site...now all I needed was that bicycle.

I Heart Street Art : Buenos Aires

I found this block in San Telmo, Buenos Aires by accident, just walking around exploring. A turn here, a turn there and there it was. A whole strip of brightly colored art covering the walls. And there was this perfect blue door waiting for me to jump in and take a picture with. I walked away with no recollection of how to get back to this spot but luckily there was a lot more of it around every other corner. I love this town :-)

Vintage Luggage

Friday

Ok, maybe these are past vintage, more like antique since they date back to before the 1930's. I love them! I tried to steal one out of the pile (not really, lol), but seriously, how cool would it be to travel with original luggage from the days of old world glamour... What do you think of these? Would you travel with an antique/vintage piece?

New York Architectural Digest Home Show - Part III

Wednesday

The Home Show featured some really beautiful pieces. The first few pics are from DVF's new home line. I completely fell in love with the gorgeous ocean blue silk coach below! And I won't even begin to get into The Paris Apartment below that...so many pretty things!

This last one is by a Portuguese company called Boca do Lobo. Their stuff is gorgeous and so detailed, the photos did no justice so I just added this one. Very unique, check them out.
