Morocco is split into different regions, each one with its own unique charm and appeal that makes it a perfect get-away spot. It has historical appeal, excellent shopping and souks, a collection of significant monuments and landmarks that dot its many regions and surround some of its most sacred cities.

If you're starting a Moroccan adventure, Tangier might be a good starting point – its coastal location and proximity to Spain make it easy to simply hop on a ferry and arrive within the hour. The exotic characteristics are seen all around– at a range of bars, restaurants and other popular venues, decorated around the famous Ave Mohamed VI beach. Other sites worth checking out are the Cave of Hercules, a stunning ancient archaeological site and the renowned Kasbah and accompanying museum.

Morocco's capital city of Rabat is a beautiful and laid-back city that sits on the River Bou Regreg. The collection of temples and museums here are definitely worth your time. The amazing architecture, particularly that of the Royal Palace, exudes a sense of grandeur that characterises the entire nation. The Rue des Consuls is the place to visit for those who know their history.

And of course, lest we forget to mention Marrakech. Famed for its pure, Arabian culture and exotic charm, this city proves a popular destination for those seeking to get off the grid and experience some spectacular shopping. The transport infrastructure is also well established here and the ancient sites in Marrakech are really quite fascinating; the Koutoubia Mosque looms high in the sky and the Saadian Tombs are well-preserved, making them particularly special sights to see.

Morocco proudly flaunts its culture during the vivid Eid ul-Fitr festival which takes place every year at the end of Ramadan. The famous Jamaa el-Fnaa square is the largest square in Africa and comes to life at night, featuring Arabian story-tellers, magicians, snake-charmers and plenty of unique market stalls.
