Who doesn't love seaside towns.. They're chill, laid-back, and have their own culture of nautical inspired designs and fashion. Narragansett and Newport, Rhode Island (the sailing capital of the world) are only a 3 hour drive from Manhattan and two to three days gives you just enough time to sail, see, shop, drink and be merry. Here's a quick bucket list....

A Perfect Sunrise
Friday
This pink haze of colors is what I saw out of my guest room and through the porch door when I opened my eyes the last morning of my stay at Martha's Vineyard. I had to stumble my sleepy butt to grab my cam and take some shots.. too beautiful to sleep through! If only every morning could be like this.. TGIF and Happy Weekend of Colorful Sunrises and Sunsets :-)
Seashells by the Seashore
Thursday
So yes, the same outfit continues because the last few posts were basically one long-ass day!. LoL. We spent the late afternoon just walking by the shore around the Edgartown lighthouse on Martha's Vineyard.. saying hello to our own shadows and walking through tall grass ;-P. It was one of those nice 'late summer' feeling days when you know autumn is just around the corner.

The Boutiques of Edgartown
Wednesday

Edgartown is the kind of place that makes you want to wear all your navy stripes and nautical gear. I've always been attracted to these cozy seaside towns and their cute shops and decor, probably because I grew up in New York City which is exactly the opposite. We ran into a great antique store that had the most interesting 900 year old Pakistani door! Needless to say I couldn't bring it home, lol. Then I saw these adorable crystal encrusted ballet flats but those didn't work out either. It's all good though.. I was content just window shopping on Main St. and taking in the perfect New England scenery.

Martha's Vineyard Vacation
Tuesday

My peachy afternoon in Martha's Vineyard – sunshine, cute stores, papier maché cows, pink lemonade and a smoothie.. and dogs everywhere. Such a great place to just shop around and relax while enjoying the scenery and good food.

Wonderland in Oak Bluffs
Monday

Before getting to Martha's Vineyard I had no idea that it was filled to the brim with these super cute little gingerbread houses. They're literally designed to look like a dollhouse and I thought, "These cannot possibly be real!". LoL. They come in such a bright array of shades and interesting designs that it felt like a Candyland game or something– vintage bicycles, flowers, pink cottages. The heart details on the last one were so sweet! What do you think of them – Cute to live in or just to look at?
