Feliz Halloween!

Monday

I recycled my roaring 20's Red Flapper costume yet again! The Library Bar at Gild Hall Hotel in the financial district proved to be the perfect backdrop for my 1920's get-up before jumping in a cab to meet Fidel Castro and Tom Cruise at another party. What are you guys dressing up as and doing for Halloween?

The Daphne Guinness Exhibition in New York

Thursday

Yesterday I finally got the chance to visit the Museum at FIT (my university! heey) for their exhibition on the private collection of Daphne Guinness.  Phenomenal! There are so many gorgeous, glittery, sculptural pieces – many by Alexander McQueen who she was very close with, Azzedine Alaia, Lagerfeld, and some of her own creations. Guinness' style and expression go far beyond fashion and lean more toward the realm of art when seen up close. Definitely check it out if you're anywhere near NYC, you have until Jan. 7th!

Fashion's Night Out is for the Dogs

Friday

I've gone every year since it began in NYC in 2009 and it just gets crazier every time so I made sure to stay in one place this time – Bergdorf Goodman for the ridiculously cute dog fashion show. Tough to get a good shot but you get the idea. Designers Badgley Mischka, Lela Rose and Altuzarra (among many others) were on hand to show off their pooches, with Monique Lhuillier and Marchesa as judges. We also caught Dominican royalty, Oscar de le Renta downstairs and as I turned to leave everyone was going nuts. Why? Anna Wintour with all her security guards, lol.. should have picked up a copy of Vogue.

The 2011 Tennis US Open with Nadal

Saturday

I was invited to attend the US Open yesterday, I had never been before and had such a great time! Maria Sharapova got wooped on the court and then I watched Spanish hottie / Armani underwear model / tennis star Rafael Nadal take his shirt off between the match and eventually shake his little butt to a win. I just wanna bite his delicious calves, LoL. Great game! (Sorry for the fuzzy photos but all I had was my friend's blackberry.. Thanks Diana! :-)  Happy Weekend everyone!

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic : Governors Island

Monday

Speaking of beautiful things from Buenos Aires, polo star Ignacio 'Nacho' Figueras (above left, whom you probably recognize from these ads) made for the perfect Argentinian import at Sunday's Polo Classic match sponsored by Veuve Clicquot! Held in Governors Island, I was just happy we didn't get rained on, then I somehow telepathically spotted Hugh Jackman... Hugh and Nacho- two of the finest men ever, a great looking crowd, champagne (don't drink but it looks nice! LoL), food, horses I could pet, and good weather.. I was happy as a clam! Hope you enjoy the pics and get the feeling you were there also! :-)

All eyes on Hugh Jackman! (gray under yellow canopy) Then me stalking him during the break! haha

Btw,  Wyclef Jean.. didn't notice until after the fact! I was so wrapped up with Hugh.

Nacho Figueras, No. 2 black shirt, doing his sexxy thaang...
Surprise! Figueras wins the game :-)

Can't wait 'til next year!!!

I'm excited to see hot-as-heck Argentinian polo player Nacho Figueras (my husband) with Hugh Jackman (my second husband) as Master of Ceremonies! Donna Karan and Marc Jacobs also co-hosting... I really hope it doesn't rain. Hopefully I'll come back with nice pics to share with everybody!

Vintage Luggage

Friday

Ok, maybe these are past vintage, more like antique since they date back to before the 1930's. I love them! I tried to steal one out of the pile (not really, lol), but seriously, how cool would it be to travel with original luggage from the days of old world glamour... What do you think of these? Would you travel with an antique/vintage piece?

New York Architectural Digest Home Show - Part III

Wednesday

The Home Show featured some really beautiful pieces. The first few pics are from DVF's new home line. I completely fell in love with the gorgeous ocean blue silk coach below! And I won't even begin to get into The Paris Apartment below that...so many pretty things!

This last one is by a Portuguese company called Boca do Lobo. Their stuff is gorgeous and so detailed, the photos did no justice so I just added this one. Very unique, check them out.
