The Little Black Jacket Chanel exhibition landed in New York this week and for one week only! Located in a nondescript lot at 18 Wooster St. in SoHo, I stopped in this afternoon to find Lagerfeld's photos nicely displayed despite the somewhat small space. Upon exit you have the choice of 1, 2, or 3 free poster sized prints to choose from and then rolled up into a plastic Chanel bag for you. Cool, right? If you can't make it in to the exhibit before it ends tomorrow have a look at the official The Little Black Jacket - Chanel microsite to see where it will be traveling to next. Catch it before it's gone..!

The Daphne Guinness Exhibition in New York

Yesterday I finally got the chance to visit the Museum at FIT (my university! heey) for their exhibition on the private collection of Daphne Guinness. Phenomenal! There are so many gorgeous, glittery, sculptural pieces – many by Alexander McQueen who she was very close with, Azzedine Alaia, Lagerfeld, and some of her own creations. Guinness' style and expression go far beyond fashion and lean more toward the realm of art when seen up close. Definitely check it out if you're anywhere near NYC, you have until Jan. 7th!
New York Architectural Digest Home Show - Part III
Wednesday
The Home Show featured some really beautiful pieces. The first few pics are from DVF's new home line. I completely fell in love with the gorgeous ocean blue silk coach below! And I won't even begin to get into The Paris Apartment below that...so many pretty things!

This last one is by a Portuguese company called Boca do Lobo. Their stuff is gorgeous and so detailed, the photos did no justice so I just added this one. Very unique, check them out.

Part II of the DIFFA Dining by Design show! The last installation by David Beahm Design was definitely my favorite here. Which did you like best from this group?

New York Dining By Design Show - Part I
Monday

This past Saturday I attended DIFFA's annual AIDS benefit Dining by Design. The fundraiser brings together internationally celebrated designers and local talent to create extraordinary dining environments. The installations were jaw-dropping! There were so many stunning designs that I didn't even know what to do with myself, lol. This angel wings design blew me away (they used cabbage and asparagus in the centerpiece!) And F.I.T.'s my second favorite of course, have to support my old design school :-)
Which are your favorites??
